Guide To Selling to SciEssence, LLC
The scientists, engineers and staff of SciEssence, LLC are committed to
the design, manufacture and technical support of advanced scientific instrumentation
and high quality, state of the art components. The innovative designs
and superior reliability and quality of SciEssence’s products are also
a reflection of our suppliers. We are looking for innovative, efficient
suppliers of components and services to build a team that is world class
Efficiency
"Time is Money" Actually, time is more valuable than money. SciEssence, LLC does not want to waste our suppliers time any more than we want out time wasted. We prefer to work with firms that have clear and efficient sales processes that are based on technical merritts, not sales pitches. We assume those firms that use sales propaganda to be covering for a lack of technical and/or proceedural quality.Communication
SciEssence, LLC conducts the majority of communications via email. Email allows us to maintain control of specifications, documentation and other details for our ISO 9000 processes that phone calls and even faxes to not allow. We expect our suppliers to be proficient with their email for communication and information transfer.SciEssence, LLC uses the ebXML DTD, proposed by tThe United Nations body for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) and the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) as its primary interface to supplier process control, inventory and order processing protocol. Other DTDs may be suppored if needed, however we feel that the ebXML DTD, by fact of it international and wide-spread industry support, should be suppored by all vendors.
Security of Information
To protest our intellectual property, SciEssence, LLC requires suppliers to use PGP Encryption technology for sensitive communications and data transfers via email. Perspective suppliers will receive the appropriate PGP Public Key from the product mananger and must submit their PGP Publc Key to the project manager as well.
